Yes, it was actually someone that I was with for a long time, but wanted more, and moved on. It took a while, we did get back together, but her life was where she lived and really couldn't move and neither could I.
I had another one, it was going just fine then she just drifted away.
Later I found out why, she thought I wanted kids or deserved kids of my own, and after her 3rd she had her tubes tied so she couldn't have any more.
I really didn't want kids, and I got along whit hers just fine.
I never had kids, just never felt the urge to be a dad.
I wish she would have talked to me about it.

A long time ago I was in love with someone but was too afraid to tell her. It took me almost 2 years to get the courage to do it. I asked her out and I had a whole speech in my head I was going to say. I went to pick her up and she totally blew me off. I never saw her again. A few months later I find out she was married

Yeah I have one from way back 6 or 7 years ago that was literally everything I could’ve ever wished for in a girl. She used to be in my class when I was 15 but then she moved out of town and I haven’t seen her since. I was able to move on with other relationships after her, but I’d often think about her and I always felt like she was the one for me. Turns out she might not be the one that got away tho cos she randomly texted me half a year ago and struck up a conversation with me out of the blue. We’ve been texting everyday for 5 months since then and we still really get along with each other. She said she wants to move back to her hometown where I live, and if that’s the case then I’m going to try and make this work between us.

I don't know If I have a "one that got away". But I do have a past. You're always going to wonder about the path not taken. Sometimes you don't realize what a good match someone was for you till you've matured a little. And by then everything has changed. But I still consider her a friend and she is happily married and so as her friend I'm happy for her.
