My crush found out that I like him. What if I told him that the likelihood of me remaining loyal to him is very high, as he reminds me a lot of my father, whom I get along very well with. Will that scare him away or make him feel comfortable around me to open up and be closer?

Uhh I don't know, comparing your crush to your dad might weird him out a bit. Most guys don't want to think about a girl's father when they're into her, you know?

I'd be kinda weirded out if a girl I liked told me I reminded her of her dad. Makes things feel less romantic and more familial. Even if you have a good relationship with your dad, that comparison puts some mental barriers up.

I guess the loyalty part is good to reassure him. But I'd leave your dad out of it for now. Focus more on the stuff you like about HIM personally - his smile, personality, how he makes you laugh.

Maybe just tell him you really enjoy spending time with him and find him easy to talk to. Reassure him you're serious about seeing where things go without the dad thing hanging over it.

You could totally scare him away comparing him to family so early on. Play it cool, keep things flirty and fun between just the two of you. See how it goes before bringing parents into it!

I must say, I’ve been following this story based on the progression of questions you ask and am rooting for you now haha! So now he knows and now is where it gets interesting and we find out if he reciprocates!! But I don’t think it would be a turn off, i my girl told me she highly respected her father and that I reminded her of him, I would be very flattered and moved that she held a similar level of respect for me as she did him, because that’s a deeper kind of admiration that extends beyond attraction.

I am sure that this could go either way... and will greatly depend on the follow up questions/conversations and details once you mention this...

there will be things and ways in which this could be flattering and appreciated in a more positive way, or... it could make him feel very uncomfortable or unsure

one thing to always consider is a more neutral reaction and not only those that are more on the extreme...

That is very common for women to be attracted to men that remind them of their fathers. Same way men are attracted to women that remind them of their mothers. Almost your entire understanding of relationships starts and comes from watching your parents relationship.
