What do you mean? He sometimes is honest ish but usually after a drink then he says I’m rare and talks about the future and how our families get on etc but why would he suggest its ok for me to have a boyfriebd? In the past to ge fait when I did have a boyfriebd I didn’t contact him very much

So we were friends at uni he liked me as more, both were then in longterm relationships with other people now both single (he is dating others and so am I ) but lots of flirtation and phone calls between us meeting up in a few weeks but he made the point of saying if I get a boyfriend we mustn’t lose contact at all as apparently I went off the radar last time I got one. Do you think he just wants to be friends again I know ge values my opinion on things and advice so could be that right?
