Why would your boyfriend of many years never answer his phone and say hello like a normal person, but let's all your calls go to his voicemail?

Then he doesn't even listen to them. Hardly ever texted either. We talked for a while almost every day, but only if he called me. Weird huh? It's like he never wanted me to know where he was or what he was doing. I always thought this was so wrong, but that's the way he rolled.

Maybe he didn't want you calling him. Did you ever ask him about this? It's a very necessary conversation for couples to have (the rules of communication).

I know!! He would set me up too and say call me and I still went to voicemail.
So, I quit answering his calls for a while to see how he liked it. It's like it didn't bother him. He would just leave me a message sometimes.
But now you can see why I am not terribly sad that he passed away. He can't hurt me anymore and that feels like a mountain off my back.
(They should have an emoji for that.) 🙂
