Is this an ick / clingy?

I met this guys 3 weeks ago, we clicked really well and saw each other for every weekend after that. I texted him how he was and he replied I should do visit him for a weekend. I told him i couldn’t that weekend but I could another. He told me a weekend, and I said ok. But he said he replied that “it’s just me and my friend” and asked if i were staying Thursday to Friday. after i told him i was saying Thursday to Sunday i offered to stay half with a friend and half with him but my friend is not going to be there and i only told him now. is it an ick or needy that i’m staying with him for 3 nights while he’s friend a friend?

Ah man, three nights kinda does seem a little clingy after only knowing this guy for 3 weeks. A couple red flags:

- Telling him your plans changed to 4 nights instead of the 1 he invited you for is pushing it.

- Offering to split the time with his friend there and at his place is.. weird. Like you're trying too hard to spend the most time with him.

- It's his friend's weekend there too but you're inserting yourself for that long could be awkward.

I'd be getting an "ick" vibe too if a girl I just started seeing told me she was invading my friend time for 3+ nights. Like chill, we're still getting to know each other.

My advice would be scale it back - keep it to the original 1 night he suggested. Spending every weekend together already shows you really like him. But don't smother the guy, feel me? Play it a little cooler next time so he doesn't think you're being clingy. You don't wanna scare him off this early, ya know?
