Is this a hickey?

My boyfriend claims this is not a hickey, but I have had several friends point it out and say something where in response I tell them it’s not a hickey and I didn’t give it to him, they give me a weird look. I’ve caught him talking to his ex in the past and have a serious gut feeling something is going on even though he insists it’s not. When I bring it up he doesn’t get angry or defensive. (Then again he’s not that type of person) I don’t know what to think. HELP

Yeah, that's obviously a bruise not a burn.
I get bruises on my neck sometimes from working out (hitting my nape with the bar too hard) and it was pointed out to me that those look like hickeys, but they are mostly in the middle, not to the side of my neck.

I know but he told me at first it was a burn when it was obviously not a burn, he is a chef so he said “it’s a burn I get them all the time from work” that’s why I got suspicious.

No he doesn’t bruise easy, it’s just in a very suspicious spot and this picture was also taken a couple days after I found it, it had been way darker days before.

A gut feeling isn't necessarily that the person is cheating but it can be many things, perhaps try asking what happened there cause it looks like a bruise, always follow your gut feeling tho
