Why do so many short guys have a problem with short girls being with tall guys?

Insecurity unfortunately. Short Kings are great too, but if only most can be confident about it. I do wish men can stop lying about heights on apps and even during dates… 😓😪 lol. A girl who’s used to tall men such as myself can tell when a guy is lying about their height during dates…. It’s just unattractive to lie.

Maybe but if I don’t, I get no matches from women…so either I don’t lie and possibly end up single forever, or I lie and end up at least meeting up with them, even if I still end up single forever.

No, it’s just the way you think which is probably most people why they lied about the heights. You should try to change your mindset by being more confident and positive. Most women will be tire to be lied about these things. Would you rather disappoint someone for what you think will work temporarily? I don’t understand why men thinks it’s okay. It only need to disappointment and unmotivation to match or meet guys due to these common lies.

You DO understand that most dating apps allow women to set height limits, and most women in the US set their minimum height at 6 feet - despite only 14% of men being 6' or taller. Of COURSE this is going to make men lie.

If there was a weight filter and 90% of guys set that to 110 pounds or less, I bet most women would lie too.

It’s such a shame but if yalls wanna keep thinking that way is up to you but it means this Will keep happening and most women will keep feeling frustrated about it. I don’t think most will lie about their weight if it’s required unless they wanna pulled the same tricks as men who lies. It’s very unnecessary because at the end of the day people will know somehow and someday, but won’t be happy about it. So this is why people should not even lie to begin with and excuse it.

People need to stop paying attention to these stereotypes or wherever you find these statistics if the credits are even accurate because people are their own individuals and has their own preferences.

The statistics come from the Match Group, the holding company that owns ALL of the dating apps. Per their data, on apps which allow women to filter by height, which is most of them, 83% of women in the US have 6' as the minimum height. Which means that the vast majority of men will never even be seen.

You can dismiss or downplay that all you want, but it doesn't change the reality of the situation. Thus, men are going to lie.

Note that in most of the world, this requirement doesn't exist - even though women generally prefer taller men. But because the US uses imperial measures instead of metric, it's easy to set a nice round number, so in the US, women overwhelmingly do.

@MrOracle well these dating apps... i dont think it will include all women and it may only include vast majority of women depending on their demographic and what they are looking for. You can look and think however you may please sir.

But ME as a WOMAN in her 30s who has met, spoken, and meet MANY other women does not always REQUIRE the 6 feet stereotype is what I am saying and SO MANY WOMEN is tire of LIES in sort of ways which INCLUDES height. But sure if you or no one cares about what I am saying, then of course it will continue and both gender will continue to feel frustrated as you please. Of course most women wants a taller man, but all I am saying is that it does NOT have to be super tall because everyone is their own individual. Anyone can also like whatever they please both genders and should not need to be ashame nor need to feel like they have to lie to meet this.

I am a short guy, I don't have a problem with short girls liking tall guys, some may get annoyed that being short, not being able to aim for tall girls, since they prefer guys like them or taller than them, they have to look for girls more or less the same height as them, you understand very well that being rejected by all of them, they may develop a strong sense of frustration.

I'm speaking in general, if girls like tall guys, that's fine.

I dont have a problem with it but sometimes I wonder why they like such a huge height gap. there's a girl I know 5 ft 11 and her boyfriend is 6ft 5 thats pretty much 1.5 foot taller than her. It must be so annoying to kiss and stuff 🤷‍♂️. Dont really understand it. Obviously I get why girls like taller boys but surely that much kf a height difference isn't comfortable? 😂

I dunno, short dudes can get pretty insecure sometimes. I think it bugs them seeing a short girl with a tall guy cuz it makes them feel even shorter by comparison, ya know? Like it reminds them of their own height issues or something.

Or maybe they feel like tall guys will "steal all the short girls" so then no short girls will be interested in them. It's kinda dumb if you ask me. Who cares how tall someone is as long as you like each other?

I think short guys just need to own their height instead of tripping about stuff they can't control. As long as a girl actually likes you for you, what's the problem? They just gotta focus on being confident and treating girls with respect. Plenty of short kings out there doing just fine like myself!

Well, many probably already feel like their options are limited, so girls around their height or shorter being with tall guys seems unfair to them. Which is understandable.. My thing is.. Why would really tall women 5'10+ need a guy taller than them? Now that's a question I really have..

If so then I would imagine that it's cause most women already want taller guys than them and short guys struggle with this already so when they see women that they have a chance with cause they are short as well being with a very tall guy, I would imagine it bothers them which in a way, it's understandable.
