I’ve been texting this guy for a couple of months, he goes to college so he’s very busy with the papers he has to write and the books they have to read so we don’t go out a lot, plus he lives two hours away from me, but we do text everyday.
Since it’s the end of the year he’s dealing with a lot of exams plus some personal stuff which I totally understand so we haven’t seen each other in a while mainly because of that. He now has a time window until December 11th until his last exam.
Thing is he told me he wanted to take a bit of time of rest from all the studying he had to do these past two weeks and that with the time it takes to come here (we didn’t spend the night together yet so he would have to travel for four hours) plus lack of money and some personal stuff yet to process (broke up with his first girlfriend three months ago and lost his friend group because of it and he has to see them every day at school), he ended up apologizing for not being so excited to go out and that we could meet after he finishes his December 11th test. (We have tickets for a show on December 17th)
But today I got a little anxious because he didn’t spoke to me all day like he does and discovered through a friend that he hid his ig story from me where he went out with his friend group that I know. She told me he did it so that I wouldn’t feel bad that he went out with them and not me (I know his ex broke up w him for that reason, prioritizing his guy friends over her, he didn’t told me that by the way). What do you think?

What is your purpose? What do you want from him? That is the most important thing because if you’re romantically interested then you are robbing yourself of finding a genuine connection. It’s pointless investing your time talking to him every day when if it is not going anywhere. Like this dude sounds super unavailable due to his other priorities and as if he talks to you out of loneliness and convenience with no intent of getting serious.
We already settled is a casual link, I don’t mind not being a priority, I wouldn’t want a guy that’s so into his career and school to put me first. I’m just asking about that particular situation.

If I wasn’t a priority why would he care enough to hide his story? Doesn’t make sense, if he doesn’t care then he doesn’t care, taking time to hide a simple story comes with something
