Left on delivered for an unusually long time?

My guy friend was hanging out with my brother, and tells him “Say hi to (my name) for me”, after a day of not talking much with him. Later i send my guy friend a text, and been on delivered for over a day. We have a really strong friendship, always poking fun at each other and laughing. He never leaves me on delivered for that long, he either sees it or replies. Two days before this, he was talking to a friend and couldn’t stop glancing over at me. Why would he ask my brother to say hi to me for him but leave me on delivered for that long?

Probably to get you concerned like you are now, you’re interested and are concerned. Guys like to play with girls minds to reel you ladies in. Sometimes guys will purposely do stuff like leave you on read, that way the anticipation bakes inside you. Let it be for a few days, he could be busy.

Why would he even feel the need to do so tho, he’s always on his phone too. We’re in hs and he doesn’t have a job at the moment, he could still be busy but its just a bit annoying you know.

I couldn’t say exactly why but then again, why do we do anything we do? If he doesn’t reply in a few days, say something In person if you see him in the hallway, or you could be like ”my phone lost connection and wasn’t sure my message sent, did you get my text? I think it needs to be updated” or something along the lines so it doesn’t seem like you’re clingy.
