When a man hugs you laugh, and then tells you to take care of yourself does that mean he’s blowing you off?

My husband died a few years ago. I’m just getting back out there and haven’t dated in almost 30 years. I have a crush on the mechanic that works on my car. Periodically I take baked goods to his place of employment. The other day, after dropping off, said goodies, he walked out the front door of his place of employment with me. (He has to walk around back to go back to work) he gave a one armed hug. I put both of my arms around him after the embrace, and I started to unlock my car. He twirled around, laughed and said yeah, that was good. Take care of yourself. I thought his wording was a little off. I drove off, so excited that I got a hug for the man I have a crush on. It wasn’t until I got home and it was a few days later. I wondered if the hug was a polite way of thanking me for the food, while friend zoning me, and blowing me off..
