What does it mean if a man says he feels like there is something he would like to cover with me soon and that it is nothing bad just been on his mind?

After I hanged out with one of my friends over coffee, he flicked me a text that he feels like there's something that he would like to cover with me before Christmas, that is was nothing bad just been on his mind., When I inquired more about it, he said that it was just some personal stuff he wants to share or just something about him he wants to share which is good. I am a little bit confused and uneasy about his message as normally when people share things, typically it is not good. And if it is key milestone stuff - having another baby or moving jobs or changing cities, he could have brought it up over coffee and I do not feel like these things are personal. What do you think this could be about? It is super odd.

Hmm that does seem kinda weird. When grown ups say they wanna "talk" it's usually not good haha. I dunno maybe he met someone else or is moving away or something. Or maybe he's just nervous to ask you out? Hard to say for sure. I wouldn't worry too much though, he said it's nothing bad right? Maybe he's just overthinking it. Maybe you could ask him what it's about again so you don't stress till you have to meet up. Or say you're busy for a while so he has to tell you now. Hopefully it's no big deal! Yeah, good call not to stress about it too much. Easier said than done I know, the not knowing can make your mind run wild haha. But for real, best thing is just play it cool, stay positive and trust that your friend wouldn't try to freak you out on purpose.

If you need a distraction, maybe hit him up sooner to grab a beer or play some ball before you meet up again. Get your mind off it. Or ask some other friends to hang, talk shit and make you laugh. Laughter is the best medicine right?

Try not think about what he said till you're actually together again. Chances are it ain't nothing major like you said. And even if it is something, you're a good dude - you'll be able to roll with whatever he tells you bro. Just be there to listen if he needs an ear. It'll all work out, don't stress! Haha we ended up catching up just yesterday as we could not meet due to COVID and going on holiday. There was nothing bad that he wanted to bring up with me - it was mostly about some personal stuff he wanted to open up to me about 😀

Guys don't always like being vulnerable so it shows he trusts you. You must be a really good friend for him to feel comfortable sharing that way.
