The guy I’ve been seeing for three weeks told me that he has a lot going on and I need to find someone my own age. He also said that he should probably date someone his own age. He assumed that I would want kids and start a family. Which he doesn’t want. I told him I don’t want kids. Then he said well an ex girlfriend called and doesn’t know what to do. Though I noticed that he still is active on his dating profile. I feel maybe I messed up because I was the one initiating all the messages and asking to see him. So I told him to call me when he decides what he wants. Does he just not know what he wants? Or is this an excuse because he doesn’t want a relationship?

I feel like he’s telling me what I should do. I don’t want to date someone my age. I have no interest in that. He never asked if I want kids or what I want in the future. He just assumed. Why say he needs time to decide what he wants? Why not just say I’m not interested?
