My boyfriend says things like ''you think you have freedom? you don't.'' or ''you can't escape me'' or even something like ''I have such a hard time letting you go.'' when I need to leave or when he calls me and I don't answer on the first ring and I finally pick up he'll say ''why aren't you answering my calls, you think you can ignore me? Who's more important than me?'' and he'll say I'm just joking but sometimes I'm not sure.

Woah that's not cool at all. The stuff he's saying is actually kinda scary and controlling. No girl should feel trapped or afraid of their boyfriend.

I know he says he's joking but the fear in your eyes tells me different. Threatening your freedom or saying you can't escape is not a joke. His behavior is definitely abusive and that shit tends to escalate over time.

You need to get outta there ASAP before it gets worse. Violence often starts with words and manipulation, so don't wait until it's too late. Tell your friends what's up and get their help if you don't feel safe confronting him alone.

Or is there somewhere you can stay for a while till you sort things out? Family maybe? Anyone who can give you a safe place and support your decision. You don't deserve to walk on eggshells every day being with him.
