What does it mean if a guy is fruity?

So, I always though calling a gay guy, gay ironic. Because gay traditionally means lighthearted and carefree.

So, for me the only times in my life that I was ever truly lighthearted and carefree was before and after marriage to woman. So, I guess that makes me fruity.

fruity- resembling or containing fruit, being rich, deep or mellow.

So, I might be fruity as well.

In wine fruity, means there are layers of rich tasting natural flavor that have been perfectly blending to provide a rich and refreshing taste.

Or it means you are gay.

I've only heard fruity being used as a way to associate with gay. But I looked up a few definitions for you that seem right: (of a voice or sound) mellow, deep, and rich. (of a person) eccentric or irrational. Not sure if this is what you're looking for but there you go.

Saying someone is fruity is just another way of saying they're gay or they're acting gay. Or rather stereotypically gay. It was once considered offensive same as queer but has been reclaimed by the LGBTQ+ community

If he is acting fruity then that usually means he's gay. You can't tell by usually looking at them but if they make certain hand gestures and talk feminine then that usually means they are.

true. although sometimes you can tell just by looking, like if they are wearing makeup or feminine, bright or tight clothing that is made for a female.

Yeah those would be the obvious out there ones. I'm talking about the ones on the DL where you can't tell at all that they are gay just by looking at them. Like Drake for instance. I believe he's gay but on the DL.
