This friend of mine - been helping them for months with things & where they say they appericate the help, they never show it - wasting my time?

So I've been helping this friend for months with money, etc. and they consistently tell me that they appericate it however they rarely do anything to show it.

I mean I've tried for weeks to go for a coffee to barely any response.

And they text me this Monday that they've gone skiing with some new person - a random met at their new job - that weekend.

I'll admit there's been a few times I've overreacted to their behavior but that was due to them being rude, ignorant, mean, disrespectful, etc. towards me.

I'd say that affects them wanting to hang out - except they've admitted they want to hang out just they never deliver on this

they're using you for your money and the help you give which is extremely toxic and draining. they should be your friend for you, not for what you have.

i say you're wasting your time because you have tried to hang out and whatnot, but they're not putting the same energy on you. theyre putting this energy onto other people which sucks because you're the one helping them out.
