Either he secretly wants you for himself, or he doesn’t trust the guy that you want to see.
If I have a female friend that finds great guy, I’m actually happy for her.
It’s only if I know the guy she’s interested in is bad news and will likely mistreat her that I become extra protective.
It’s kind of like a big brother looking out for his little sister kind of dynamic.
Now, if I’m actually into a girl, then yeah, I wouldn’t like them seeing anyone other than me.
But, I’m upfront. If they’re single and I’m single, and I like them, I let them know.
That way, there’s none of this weird pretending to be uninterested when I actually am.
Life is too short for miscommunication like that.
I always shoot my shot.
So if the guy you’re interested in a great guy and there’s no good reason for him to disapprove. If that’s a case, then there’s a high likelihood that your ‘platonic’ friend is actually quite interested in you but is not telling you for whatever reason.
we don't need to love you or want a relationship with you in order to be possesive over you or not wanting other guys around you, if anything most guys gets into commited relationships in order to stop you from seeing other guys or else almost no guy would bother with commitments, if anything the reason monogamy is a thing is because of male possesiveness and willingness/desperation to give up on other opportunities in order to secure one.
