Is it okay that I looked disgusted when he winks at me?

So a colleague of mine called me dirty minded ( when I said something that is very normal to say - but he interpreted in a sexual way if you are dirtyminded) - then my supervisor winked at me when he overheard the conversation, so I looked disgusted at him ( it was a visceral reaction).. Is this okay?

Hmm, that's a tricky one. On one hand, you gotta stand up for yourself if someone is accusing you of stuff you didn't mean.

But your supervisor winking was probably just trying to be lighthearted about it, not actually hit on you or nothin. Even if it wasn't totally appropriate, looking disgusted might have hurt his feelings ya know?

I'd say next time something like that happens, try keeping your expression more neutral. Or maybe just smile and be like "come on guys, it wasn't like that" to smooth things over.

As long as this guy doesn't keep winking at you weird or something, I wouldn't worry too much about it this time. But you don't wanna like, get on your supervisor's bad side either if you can help it.

Work stuff can be awkward sometimes. As long as they're not actually harassing you or anything, try not to overreact to little things. Just nod and giggle it off if ya can. Not worth the stress!
