Should I smile next time I catch him staring at me?

I think my crush is a bit shy around me- he does typical shy guy things like look away quickly and avoid eye contact, etc.

Next time I catch him staring, should I smile at him? He usually looks away VERY quickly but there have been times when he just stares for a longer period of time.

Would it be good for me to smile warmly at him when he does that? I would like to be approachable!

We do talk a little but we don't know each other well. I would really like to get to know him because he seems like a good guy and I think it will be easier for me to do that if he is comfortable with me too :)

Yepp, go and approach him; talk to him. Smiling can be seen as only being friendly, nothing more and nothing less
