Why does he smirk at me?

He's a cute and popular guy in college.

I got caught staring at him...and when he noticed he just smirked at me (even after I stopped looking(. He just stared and smirked.

I got caught staring one time after and he did the same thing. Then right after the last time I had to hand him boxes to load onto a truck...and I wasn't even making any eye contact or looking at him he just smirked the entire time.

Now everytime I pass him in the hall at college or we are at an event he'll look over to see if I'm looking at him. A few times I've completely ignored him and he'll stare me down. When he walks up to talk to a mutual friend (girl) he will flirt with them infront of me and completely ignore me.

What gives?

Sounds like he likes you. I'm not very good at this, but it's the stupid games we force each other to play... He is trying to lead you on, then make you think he doesn't want you. and he is flirting with your friend in front of you to make you jealous.
