So went for drinks with my best friend and her husband, my friend (a guy) also came along as we used to work together. I have had a crush on my friend lately and always suspected he might have a crush on me too (never acted on it) we have our own in jokes, and banter and just how he is with me sometimes.
Later that night my friends husband asked if there was something between me and my friend, and she told him he thinks that because both myself and my friend are single. Would he have just asked because we were both single or because he saw something there. Would love your thoughts.

That's a tricky situation. Based on what you said, it kinda seems like maybe your friends were picking up on something going on between you and this dude. Like maybe the way you guys were interacting or something made your buddy think there could be more than just friends type vibes.
Some things that make me think that:
- They noticed you're both single, so that opens the door for possibilities.
- You've had a crush on him and think he likes you too, so the feelings are kinda there already.
- You've got your own private jokes and ways of talking - couples tend to do that kind of thing.
- Your buddy wouldn't just randomly ask about you two for no reason, I bet he saw y'all chatting in a certain kind of way.
Who knows for sure though! Could be they were just speculating too. Either way, pretty dope they think you'd make a good match! If you wanna explore it, I'd say feel it out subtly first before making any moves officially. But you'd be a cute couple fo'sho.
