I am not saying that Francis was right but it's understandable why he became the way he did. To the story Francis liked Olivia but Olivia liked Justin. It is noted that Justin was not a nice guy from the image of others on him and not only that he was cheating on Olivia with multiple girls (keep in mind all the girls that he was cheating with, knew he was in a relationship and still hooked up with him).

From Francis's point of view, the girl he likes Olivia, likes a guy who is not good but yet she still picked him, so in his mind, he is thinking why won't a nice girl like me when I am a nice guy but goes for a guy like that. So he is probably thinking what is Justin doing that works that I am not doing? So it's only natural that he starts to mimic Justin's character. So of course he will reject someone like Olivia because Olivia was not paying attention to him so why would he give her any attention? To his avail that change helped because he was able to get a girl, now obviously he didn't treat her right because let's be honest he was too deep on copying Justin's personality and now it has merged into his character.

To his point being nice didn't get him anywhere it wasn't until she started to be mean. and like I said he is not right for what he did but he is not wrong

I'm slowly going to bad cause me being good. They see you as weak target. You got constantly set boundaries, tell them no, and they test you, they will want use you etc. If you turn bad. They will know the consequences of fucking with you in first place. It's sad how you have be the bad guy/girl to let them know you should respected. Why can't people just respect you for being kind, caring and nurturing. They rather see it as oh he's nice cause he want pussy or he's kind cause he's people pleasure.
