There are people who tend to believe that I am angry or that I hate them because my gaze is imposing and I have facial features that, when combined with my gaze, give the idea that I could be someone unfriendly.
The other day a man came home to talk to my mom and he greeted me and said something like "I think he hates me" but I don't hate him, he doesn't hate anyone, in fact I'm very peaceful but my look gives that impression.

Hey man, I totally get where you're coming from. Sometimes we can't help how other people perceive us at first glance. But looks can be deceiving for sure.
A few things that might help - when you meet someone new, make sure to smile and be extra friendly. Eye contact is important too, but don't stare too hard. A quick friendly smile goes a long way in putting people at ease.
And don't take it personally if someone mistakes your expression. Once they get to know the real you, they'll realize fast that it's all just on the surface. Focus on being your genuine friendly self.
Maybe tell people close to you too how you really are inside so they can stick up for you if needed. Overall though, most folks will see past any initial assumptions given a chance to see your personality shine through. Keep being you - that's all that truly matters in the end!
