Im accustomed to people coming and going. I call it disappearing in to the abyss of life. If I ask you your name it's because I really like you. I don't ask or remember most people's names because I just see them as a fading memory in the long run. If I remember your name your on another level to me. I seem to be unique is this regard which I'm disappointed by. I don't see it as being unfriendly but apparently most people do.

If it's a cafe or somewhere I plan on going often, then I might try to familiarize myself with the employees. It never hurts to know someone a little better and potentially get better service because you developed a bond with them.

It really depends on the situation. If someone is interested in you, based on past experience, I think they should ask for your number or social media too. I've been asked for my social media immediately after they ask for my name, sometimes before they even ask for my name. So... I'd say, yes, they could be interested, but if they don't ask for your social media then you shouldn't take it too seriously. Unless! you get to see them often
