Why are all the men so grouchy when it comes to their job to be a gentleman?

It’s a guys job to be a gentleman but the typical guy is so lazy and grouchy to bother being one.

Men used to be proud of being men and now they are complaining their way out of being one. Why have men lost their pride and don’t even try to better themselves anymore

I would say because being gentleman isn´t a job it´s a gift. It´s something a guy does as a sign of affection and love. The problem these days is that the average guy can´t spend that much money on dating because he doesn´t have that much of it so unless he can´t see a future with her early on spending much money on dates with her seems like a waste.
Times have changed and so has dating. In a day and age where women at least in some jobs outearn guys the phenomen of gentlemen also becomes rare. Additionally the guys that were gentlemen when dated don´t teach their sons to be one. Because relationships in modern days have much in common with a purchase of something guys underestimate the value of courting.

That is because they either were not raised right to be one and they don't want to be one or it is because there are women out there that will shame and yell at them for trying to be one.

I personally am a gentleman and I will never stop. You will have door opened for you, seats pulled out for you and everything else. I was raised that way and have zero regrets. I'm 33 and I think if my mom saw me not open a door for a woman she would beat me for it

Being a gentleman is, in a way, showing a more vulnerable side. I'd imagine that a man would get that way after being taken advantage of while in that vulnerable state and assumes the "that's not my problem" stance.

Speaking for myself. I've been treated as if I'm some sexist creep for being a gentleman too many times. If a woman wants help, my seat or whatever, she's going to have to use her words and ask for it. I think the majority of men would also help when asked, which I think is something pretty amazing about men considering we are constantly being told how terrible we are.

Because men still want sex, bottom line , whether he wants more than just sex with her is a whole different story , When a man gets grouchy , it’s mainly because he isn’t feeling satisfied in his relationship, what most girls’ don’t realize is sex is important to most men , if his girl is barely giving him sex , he will be grouchy and sexually frustrated , he will start losing respect for his partner , and feel she doesn’t really value him or appreciate him , he will feel she might be getting it elsewhere or planning to get it elsewhere , he might also have stress from work that is adding more stress to his life , so all that put together makes him grouchy , A guy is happy when he has a girl that wants him and values him and appreciates him , that doesn’t with hold into a y and affection from him , Girls’ that do that to their man are digging their own grave and they don’t realize they are , For any relationship to work both partners have to be on the same page with things for it to work , if not then the relationship will probably not last the long haul , Most females when they aren’t in the mood , just completely ignore her man’s feelings and make lame excuses as to why she isn’t in the mood , Most loving guy’s will not ignore. Her if she is in the mood and he isn’t , When I am not in the mood for sex , I will please my partner in other ways to show her I love her and respect her and value her , Most females don’t do that for her man , they just blow him off and act like he is wrong for wanting her.
