Why does my boyfriend liking girls pictures bother me so much?

Hi everyone, my boyfriend and i have been together for 3 years. I don’t know why I get jealous of my boyfriend liking other girls bikini pictures on instagram? I ask him to stop and he said he would but when i go check he is still doing it. When i ask him why he said if he doesn't like pictures i still ask him and if he does i still ask him so he might as well like. then says that there’s so much more important things to worry about than i like. i ask him why he does it, what is he looking for? is he liking them because he thinks they are hot? is it because he wants to piss me off? is he wanting to get their attention? what? he says that it’s just a like it means nothing because i am the one he wants. 🤨 to me it sounds like he could cheat on me and it wouldn’t mean anything because im the one he wants. I don't know. i could have deep rotted insecurities or he's just straight up an asshole. I don't know, what do you guys think it could be? Am i just being really insecure or he is an asshole?

i would say that him not stopping even after you ask him and he says he will, certainly makes him seem a little jerk-ish or weird, however, I would also say that i doubt this shows he would just up and cheat on you. In my opinion, I don't know why he wouldn't just stop when you asked him to though.
