What does it mean when someone you haven't talked to in months suddenly tries to come around and joke around little by little?

I feel you luv, that's a tough situation to be in. On one hand, you definitely don't wanna come across too needy or like you're desperate to get back in contact. But at the same time, leaving things hanging is no good either. Maybe a low-key approach could work? Like send him a casual text just saying hey, been a while - how's it going? Keep it light and friendly, don't dump all your emotions right away. See how he responds to that first before saying more. If he seems engaged in chatting back, then you can maybe bring up that you miss talking. But don't put too much pressure on trying to "work things out", go slow. The goal is just to reopen communication, see if you both want the same thing. Try not to stress too much in the meantime. Easier said than done, I know.
