I gave a guy some toothpaste to keep, bc his roommate took their tootpaste with him. He has still kept the toothpaste I gave him almost 2 years later?

And yes ofc he has not used the toothpaste up, bc he is saving it.

But what does it mean... its just a tube of toothpaste? But have never experienced someone saving something like that from me.
