with woman it is not about the reproduction but it is about the male in question giving more value to the other girls and not them and their offsprings

which is why most woman thinks jealousy is insecurity while it is not, because female jealousy stems from insecurity while male jealousy stems from possesiveness, what we care is not mainly the girl liking other guys better or will enjoy sex more with them it is what should be given to ours is given to another.

I think physical is way worse and I would assume more people would be hurt more by physical infidelity. I wouldn't even care if my man had an emotional affair because at the end of the day he still belongs to me and you can always get him back emotionally if you work on the relationship but if he cheated physically I wouldn't want him back.

I can't conclusively assume emotional infidelity unless she tells me she did it. It might just be platonic.

I'm not sure if I subscribe to the notion of emotional infidelity anyway unless she's distancing herself from me while drawing closer to others, although that might be something I can correct on my end.

There's not a clear boundary I can set on what constitutes emotional infidelity. I have no qualms with my SO becoming close friends with other people, including guys. Sexual infidelity is obvious and a clear violation of my trust.

I don't think that generalisation works. Most men find infidelity hurtful and feeling emotionally pained by it.

I believe one of the reasons for this is they have a strong sense of responsibility to their lady and feel that them being unfaithful is partly fuled by them failing as a man / partner.

Well to me both forms of infidelity are awful and despicable. But I guess the reason some men look at sexual infidelity as more hurtful is because that's more obvious versus emotional infidelity. another reason could be that sex is usually considered the ultimate form of showing intimacy and closeness with your SO. So when that's being doing with another man that's seen as the ultimate form of betrayal to the man in question.

Both are, but men are possessive of their woman and hate even the idea of another man with his woman, so it's an unforgivable thing when she lets another man be with her.

They are equal to me. Infidelity is Infidelity. They both mean the same thing. Dumb people with egos probably are more okay with emotional affairs.
