Why would a man talk about possibly having a kid with me after stating before that he never wants kids?

Me and him were conversating and he was talking about the idea of me and him having a baby sometime in the future but I looked him in the eye and shook my head no because I already have one from a previous relationship and I do not want any more. Then he switched up and said "yeah I dont want kids anyways I feel the more you have the less time you have to yourself." But why was he potentially entertaining the idea in the first place?

It's natural that when a man gets really attracted to someone he dreams about having family with her and getting "our" child is a kind of good feelings for them as like that they feel connected. When his lady get pregnant with his child you can see that excitement in them. It's a beautiful feeling how a lady feels to grow a life within herself like that only a man do feel proud kind that his seed is growing within her lady kind of a part of himself is growing inside womb so he feels proud and excited kind. So it's a natural feeling.

But still a man can choose to not become father how a woman can choose not to become mother like that. As per their choice.
