Guys, Messages just before and after meeting in person?

What does it mean if a guy sends you messages just before he knows he will meet you (but not related to the meeting so they wouldn’t have been “necessary”) and within 20 minutes of saying good bye?

Hmm that's kinda interesting that he's messaging you right before and after you meet up. To me, it seems like maybe he's nervous about seeing you in person so he wants that little extra interaction right before so he's comfortable. Or it could be that after you guys hang out, he's like still thinking about you and wants to keep the conversation going since he had a nice time.

I'd take it as a good sign - it means you're probably on his mind even when you're not together. I'd just play it cool in your responses so he doesn't think you're too into it, but inside you can feel flattered! As long as the messages aren't like super short or one word answers, it sounds like he's making an effort. Maybe he likes you! I'd say keep chatting with him normally and see if he asks to hang out again soon. Don't freak out about reading into it too much, just enjoy getting to know each other better. We saw each other twice the other day and have been messaging every day … so I don’t think he is worried about meeting me.
A lot of times he will actually start up lots of random new topics just as I am “trying to leave” so we can chat longer (which honestly I don’t mind)

I just wondered why you’d send a message to someone you know you will see in half an hour and so soon after leaving again …

Aww girl, it definitely sounds like he's really into you! If you've been meeting up, messaging every day and he's trying to prolong your conversations, that's a really good sign.

As for the specific messages right before and after seeing you, I think he just enjoys talking to you so much that he can't wait even a little bit. Like those half hours apart feel longer than they are because he wants to chat with you! The fact that he brings up new topics is probably to find excuses to keep messaging back and forth for as long as possible.

Guys can be shy sometimes about openly admitting their feelings, so I think those little messages are his subtle way of telling you he doesn't want to stop communicating, even for a short while before or after being together in person. It's like he's making the effort to extend your interaction virtually when you're not physically together.

I'd say enjoy it girl! He's clearly really into your conversations. Just go with the flow and have fun chatting with him. Seems like you've caught yourself a good one - someone who likes you so much they'll take any opportunity to talk to you more. You're doing something right!
