Need relationship advice?

My boyfriend plays video games all day. We hardly ever spend time together unless we are watching tv and he usually watches people play video games while he does hang out with me. I have tried to come up with different things for us to do together but he never wants to, I will add we do live together though.
When he does want to spend a small amount of time with me I almost don’t want to at that point because I’m starting to almost feel resentful in a way, Is it normal to feel this way towards him?

Well the thing is in relationships like this it always seems like one person wants to grow and become better they have goals in their life and that's you and when you see your boyfriend your husband your partner sitting on the couch all day long not caring about himself or anything else including you it makes you start thinking

And that's exactly what you should be doing and you need to make some tough decisions before it gets worse I can almost guarantee you that he will turn around and blame it on you somehow even though you are probably the only provider for the household you are the only one that wants things and you want to be looked at in a certain way not only by him but your peers and your family you're probably embarrassed on what he does because he's not providing for you or taking care of you like you promised so you need to make some tough choices it's not going to get any better until you give him an ultimatum one way or the other way and then he's going to fight you on that that's when you have to make another choice..

He needs to prove to you how much he loves you by the things that he says and that he does with you for you in a positive manner if he cannot be that person for you you need to move on I hate saying that but it's the truth and that's probably what's going to happen in the long run I'm sorry about that

I meannn maybe it's one of those things that he doesn't know what he has till its gone

I will say though, considering you guys are in a new relationship. It SHOULDN'T be like that, especially so soon. Typically I feel that happens later on in the relationship

What I will say is your best bet is to just try to communicate it with him
But I will also say is I feel you should WANT to hang out with your girl

Maybe not all the time but more often than not you know🤔

Because then if he starts hanging out with you is it because he wants to or because he's just trying to make you happy🤔🤔

I dont know just communicate it with him. But keep in mind, as a warning. Do you expect it to get better randomly throughout the relationship?🤔
Or could you see it being the same for how ever long you guys are together

Thank you for the advice. We have been together for many years and have broken up a few times. I’ve communicated with him many times about compromise but it doesn’t seem to ever change much. When we were in high school he didn’t play as many games but now it’s all day, I totally get it to because it’s his hobby and enjoys it which is fine but it’s gotten to the point where he never really wants to do much outside of it.

Well shit then honestly, I say move on. He's never gonna change. You've said it, you've tried. He changes for a bit but then goes back, why? Oh I'll tell you, because his video games and not going out is his comfort zone. Is that bad? No everyone should be able to do what they want in their spare time. But what I am saying is you two don't match, when it comes to that. So now you got two options, continue to put up with it and be unhappy. Or. Leave

i totally understand u, i would feel the same and i am sorry. i would pick a good time where he is chilling, in a good mood and start by saying something nice about him, or something u grateful for about him and then share nicely how u ve been feeling. add that u dont want to fight but just to come up with a solution. then listen to him too! and try maybe once a week to have some quality time together. like a non negotiable moment where you both committed to be here for the other one. but if it does not change at all, well u might feel this way for ever.
