I'm a reluctant leader so I don't qualify. I have an urge to lead when everyone is panicking but not the type to be first to volunteer.

My leadership style is based on empathy and concern over others so it's a massive burden.

So say I'm with my wife and the building we're in catches on fire. I'm looking around and if everyone is panicking, I'll lead, and I'll be the last to leave and first to die.

But if a firewoman busts through the window and says, "Hey everyone, follow me," I'm thinking, "Whew! Let's follow her!"

If you think of leadership in terms of power and status and privilege, you want to be the leader all the time. I figure that's the alpha male type. I'm some other type. Maybe "sigma"?

Except I'm not an introvert. I just look at leadership as a massive responsibility. I'm only motivated to take care of other people, but just like a reluctant parent who wants to maximally take care of children, I'm not going to eagerly adopt 25 children into my home. Each individual one means I have another person to concern about and lose sleep over worrying about their well-being.

I'm definitely not beta but don't think I'm alpha. Because if you look at leadership as a massive burden and accumulation of responsibilities and willing to die for every single person who follows you, you're not like, "Hey, give me more people to look after! More more more!" You know, you'll look after the ones you have to look after but you're not eager to look after more and more because at some point, it means you can't look after the ones who are already following you as well.

Like Jon Snow at my best before he turned into a Daenerys asskisser, "My queen!" I can't imagine any woman attractive enough to tempt me to turn into such an asskissing idiot. But in the earlier seasons where I related to his leadership style, he's not someone who wants to lead. He just does it when he has to do so. I'm not Stannis Baratheon who thinks I'm the ultimate and rightful ruler. I lead when I think I'm the only one suited to take people out of the mess we're in.

Definitely not Samwell Tarly type though. That guy is so beta. He kind of gets an inkling of leadership motivation with Gilly but it's so half-assed. I'm definitely not that type. I'm reluctant to lead but also equally reluctant to follow. Samwell is eager to follow (beta).
