What to reply to an awkward convo?

I matched with a guy I know in real life and like on a dating app. He said hey and then I joked around saying “hmm you look familiar… have we met?😂” And he replied do i know you from somewhere? 😂” (Also joking around cause we were friends). Now I don’t know what to reply but I don’t want the conversation to just end

Sigh… this is super basic role play — generally more awkward via text than in person.
If you're playing out this scenario online, just roll with it, continuing as if it were in person.
For example... If you two were doing this at a bar instead of via text, precisely what would you want to see happen? Have your vision and then put the text out there… the guy typically will then also play along. (Or if the guy initiaties, then he should have a vision in mind… and you follow along.)
Continuing on with the simple bar scenario… it's Friday… you're at the bar having a drink and waiting for your friend (s).
This fellow walks in and is all "Hey stranger, do I know you?"
Build some playful excitement (because you know the guy but he's playing) "Hmm. Idk… maybe" (or ask if he's the guy from ___ something ridiculous that will make him laugh ___).
Back and forth, give and take, till your little role play is concluded.
