And that is problematic.

It is important to make a distinction here though: The conscious mind and the subconscious are not generally in unison. And the less self-control someone has, the less able their conscious is to override their subconscious. All that touchy stuff is most likely the subconscious behind the metaphorical steering wheel, trying to drive towards sex... and unless he consciously acknowledges what is going on and intercepts, he could end up doing something you'd both regret.
