What does it mean if my crush said he's better looking than me?

So a mutual friend of me and my crush one day said that she doesn't know who's hotter, me or him. While me and my crush were in the room. My crush then said "It's me, definitely. I'm hotter."

Does this mean he doesn't find me attractive or something? Or am I overthinking it?

Odd. It's an odd situation and an odd comment.
I think the best I can say is that he might have been embarrassed to say that it was you. Like... if you're a friend of his or if he doesn't wanna look like he's making comments about others. He might have just said that as a joke.
The worst I can say is that he was just being a dismissive dick. Doesn't mean he finds you unattractive but he could have been honest and is a narcissist.

Who knows? Context is everything. Perhaps he's just not good at simply dismissing stupid questions. I would have just said "No comment".
