Nothing for my birthday?

my birthday recently passed and my boyfriend didn’t get me anything. He didn’t plan anything, he didn’t do anything. We have a child together and when he asked what I wanted.. i said to sleep in. I was being honest but he thought I was kidding and had me name about 5 things i “really wanted “… just to do nothing? not even the free option of sleeping in. We went on a trip in the same state for a concert (which I paid for) and he had “joked” that the trip was my birthday experience. Also im a full time stay at home mom, so when I brought up Mother’s Day and my birthday he asked me what did i get for him on his birthday? And what do i plan on getting him for Father’s Day. Basically stating he doesn’t think I should get anything for either because we went on this trip that i paid for with leftover money..(i saved before leaving my job.) and my birthday and Mother’s Day is close which is why i mentioned both.

why is he being like this? Last year I was pregnant during my birthday but at least he took me to dinner and wrote me a really beautiful letter. Which I still have.

Seems like he has a problem with you being a stay at home mom and not bringing any money in. My soon to be ex-wife stayed home for 16 years to raise our kids until both were in high school. She wanted to do that and I had no problem with it, and it greatly benefitted our kids

Yes i believe he does. But we spoke about it as

Yes he works full time and 2 years. Our baby is 5 months old
