I have been texting this guy for a few months I assumed he was single until i started noticing signs of him being in a relationship. I asked if he was single he avoided the question and a week later I blocked him. He contacted me again with a second phone asking why I blocked him I told him I didn’t want to talk to someone who’s in a relationship he told me he was single but if he was in a relationship it shouldn’t matter because we didn’t have any sexual conversation and we didn’t meet up yet. Am I wrong for cutting him off I have guy friends that are in relationship but they were single when we met.

You know, that's a really tricky situation. On one hand, I can understand why you just wanted to be upfront with the guy and get clarity on if he was single or not at the start, since that's an important thing to know. The fact that he avoided answering directly when you asked is kinda a red flag. Like, if he really wasn't hiding anything, why couldn't he just say he was in a relationship?
I think the other thing that makes it weird is you guys had been talking for a few months already. Usually when you first meet someone, that's when you would normally have "the talk" to define what you both are looking for and where you stand. The fact that so much time had passed without him being honest about his status is not really cool. It almost seems like he was trying to hide it from you on purpose or string things along without really saying what was up.
At the same time though, I get him saying it shouldn't matter since nothing actually happened between you guys. But still, the foundation of your "friendship" was built on him not being fully truthful from the start. And who knows what his intentions were down the line, you know? I think in the end, blocking him was probably the safest bet for you. It would be hard to really trust him going forward.
Overall, I don't think you did anything wrong by cutting him off. You have to trust your gut and do what feels right for you. There are definitely some good guys out there who won't play games like that. Your time is valuable, so don't waste it on people who don't treat you with respect! Hopefully you can find some real friendships without any drama or secrets involved. Just be glad this one didn't go any further before you caught on, you know?
He had a girlfriend all along.
