Ok, assuming this is not a rhetorical question, but referring to a situation in your life, here's my answer.

What you're asking is " I'm going to friend zone a guy, is that OK?"

Yes, but only if you tell him up front, very explicitly that's what you're doing. I don't mean a one off "You know we're just friends, right?" I mean cards on the table, come to Jesus conversation. In it you acknowledge that you know he has romantic/sexual feelings toward you and that they are not and never will be reciprocated. Next you understand what being his "friend" is and is not. He doesn't pay for you if you go out together, don't under any circumstances allow him to do that. If you do, he'll feel used or entitled to a relationship upgrade. Don't use him as your emotional tampon. If the guy you're dating treats you badly, you don't get to cry on his shoulder. Guy friends are not like your girl friends. Help him out finding someone who wants him as a boyfriend, and don't get jealous if he spends less time with you if he gets a girlfriend.

If you tell him all this up front, in plain language. My guess is he'll pass. Truthfully, I'd expect you will to. This is not the kind of relationship either of you wants.

Depends how strong their feelings are for me and how close we are in the first place. If I like them as a friend and I know their feelings for me are just a simple crush which isn't going to affect our relationship on a larger scale, i. e they find me attractive and sometimes pass flirty comments my way, I can laugh it off and let it be.

If the feelings on their end are too strong and undeniable, like they've confessed their feelings to me, shown clear signs of interest and the feelings only seem to get stronger for them the longer we've known each other, if I'm taken at the time, that's an immediate rejection from my end. If I'm single myself and I'm still not interested in them that way, I'll do an introspection of the whole situation and how it may or may not affect our friendship and the other friends around us, and let them off gently.

Start by telling them how you don't see them the same way and if they insist on "making things work" and arguing how it won't change anything between them, you could take a gamble but it usually doesn't work out well for either of you. So better to cut them off soon rather than to drag them along giving them false hope and then leaving them high and dry

I meant them like them and wanted to get in their pants.

And then that's when you have to be honest with yourself and say okay well I'm going to have to date her if I want in her pants but if I date her how long would the relationship last and the person is was not right for me for a long period of time so then that friendship breaks up so you have to ask yourself is it worth it or not worth it

I have a few friends right now that we've talked about it knowing that we both would have fun and get along for short period of time but that would probably be about it because we just were not compatible in a love type relationship

So that's when you just say okay well I like you as a friend so I want to be your friend I want to hang out with you and that's what happens you become friends not lovers and then in things as enemies are haters it just works out better if you just honest.
