Many guys seem intimidated by that, even though i think there's nothing wrong about it if you can accept it like a man... Would you feel bad or would you be ok with it?

Curious how much you can lift? I’m kind of a lifter myself so I wouldn’t be insecure about it if anything I’d find it extremely impressive but that’s because I know the mentality of people who go to the gym a lot and most of those people are pretty chill.
I am 6’3 and can bench 100kg (225) for 4 reps and while I’m not a powerlifter for a guy those are top 0.5% of all gym goers so for a girl to reach that would be impressive af. It’s def possible but super hard. For legs I’m also strong but it’s definitely possible for a girl to be stronger than me on some exercises like the hip thrust and deadlift bc I kinda stopped doing those to protect my back and just leg press mostly though I also really think I’m stronger than you on (almost) every exercise than you but if you are props! You have my respect.
But if it makes you feel better I don’t know how to fight like you so you probably have me there haha. I don’t really get why you’d be insecure about your partner being a better fighter etc bc in an ideal relationship you are supposed to protect each other. If my girlfriend is a good fighter than she can protect herself and us better. Anyways, with modern weapons fighting is mostly useless I see it more as sports people do for their own self confidence more than anything. Even if me and my partner are both super strong expert fighters we are still gonna get mugged with a gun or knife easily😅
I Can squat 150 kg, deadlift 160 kg, legpress over 300kg and hiptrust 250 kg. Those are some im most proud of you got me on bench Press😅
And im not insecure about my partner being a better fighter dont know where you got that from 😅
And ofc you Can always get shot, but its still better to know some martial art for protection
@Viola_456 Oh I think you misread I wasn’t implying you were insecure I was saying I don’t understand why guys are insecure or people in general are insecure when their partner can fight better than them bc at the end of the day you are a team.
Hmm I can leg press more than you but I’m not sure about squat pretty sure I could but you’ve probably got me beat on hip thrust and deadlift as I stopped squatting heavy and doing deadlift due to back pain and switching to more safer body building type stuff.
I mean also I think you’ve got a good chance of beating me in wrestling since you have bjj training and I have never been in a fight before or trained. My main advantage I’m 193cm and a bit heavier than you at 87kg.
I noticed in your posts you said you like short guys. So do you usually not date tall guys? Or are they just harder to find?
There are two girls that I will train with occasionally if we are at the gym together. One of them does lift heavier than me and the other is not too far behind me.
Both of these girls have hit the gym and been athletic almost their entire lives while I was only really hitting the gym sporadically and only somewhat athletic in the military because it was mandatory. Only in the last 2 years have I taken the gym seriously.
If a girl can lift heavier than me, I am impressed and want to learn from her because she obviously worked very hard. It takes women almost 3x (ok just throwing a random number out there, but illustrates my point) the effort as men to achieve the same physical results.
I mean it would depend on whether the guy trained a lot in order to become stronger than others or not
I think they'd more likely be impressed rather than intimidated.

I'm ok with that but if she can do this... I'm in awe.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/E8uebtLSkm4Back when i was a gym guy and athletic, no girls could of lift heavier than i do but now if i wanna start all over again than yes there might be women who can lift more than i do and i don't care because i mind my own business, i don't care about what others are doing...
I'm still a strong man now but compared to other tough guys who are professionally trained, i think that i won't stand a chance especially if they are big guys like me but in the past i was a monster and one of the best!
Sadly nothing remains the same!
Anyone who is intimidated by others who can lift more (It doesn't have to be a woman, could be a man also) are missing the entire point of training. You're not in competition with each other, only against yourself.
To answer your question then, how I would feel if a woman lifted more than me? Impressed, but never intimidated.
Thank you! I'm very different to most guys in that respect. I love most sports and enjoy beating them, but when my wife wins, I enjoy that too because I know how much she puts into it. Do you ever watch Anatoly's Videos on YouTube?
The guy is short and looks weak, but in actuality he is top powerlifter. He dresses up as a cleaner then goes around different gyms getting funny looks because of his tiny stature, then out-lifts everyone there. It fits in with your question about how biased guys (and women too) when they see a weakling have a go at something.. then their faces turn to shock, or they laugh. Do I get mad when my wife wins? No never. I teach my wife how to play a lot of these sports and when she wins I feel proud!
I've taught her Badminton, Squash, Tennis, Pool etc etc.. I mean, she has played these games before but never to a high level. I've taught her some of the basics of Krav Maga too. We have a gym at home so we train together.
How often do I lose? She beats me at badminton regularly now lol..
That's it exactly. I mean of course I worry. It's my job to worry, but at least I know she can defend herself should she need to. :)
I remember you telling me that before. You were stopped from going for your Black Belt by the hierarchy who thought you progressed too quickly for their liking?
That would be impressive... lol. Seriously, as someone who's always been fit and an avid cross fitter I can tell you that I'm sexually attracted to fit / strong women. Not body builders types per se. More like the woman in your picture. It's not a turn off at all, and I'm not intimidated in the least.
Been lifting since 2 a days football practices in high school. 56 for reference now, I've never met a woman that can lift near what I can in reps, sets or max weight.
That being said, I don't think I'd have a real issue with it. There will always be someone more committed and be able to lift more.
I wouldn't mind it. The only thing that keeps me from lifting an insanely heavy amount is how my body will hold up. Current science literature suggests that normal lifters have the best longevity. Not those who are constantly lifting extremely heavy or those who don't train enough at all.
I personally would rather be stronger than my girlfriend. It correlates to the bedroom as well. I'd prefer a submissive girlfriend. One that I can pick up, overpower, toss around and literally dominate. I think most guys are like that. We prefer shorter, smaller, weaker, younger, submissive girls just as women generally prefer taller, bigger, stronger, older, dominant men.
I'd assume you're dominant in bed if you like guys that are weaker than you.
You want to toss around and dominate your girlfriend 💀 That is not nice that is abusive
@haydencool you must have a smooth brain
@haydencool ah you're 13 years old. That makes sense. Still in your diapers and being raised in the woke generation.
I still don’t get why you want to toss around your girlfriend?
@haydencool It's a metaphor. It's not literal. "Toss around" implies being able to manipulate their body easily as in pick them up, toss them on the bed, or get them into different positions easily. You'll learn to read in between the lines of what people say through experience.
Many people, both men and women are into aggressive sex, which has choking, spanking, pulling hair, gagging, etc.
You'll learn about all that soon enough... my guess... some years down the road.
OK thank you for explaining
@haydencool No worries and I apologize for insulting you. I didn't realize you were 13 years old bud. I appreciate the inquisitive and respectful tone you had even after that.
Well logically, it shouldn’t.
Everyone is better at something than others also everyone makes progress more than others however doesn’t mean they’re less than, you know?
I’m sure there are a lot of women who had to train near men who lift a lot more than them, they’re fine so men should be the same like me.
Would be absolutely no problem for me , in the whole gym scene I generally follow elite women , this is because if I were perfect ( far from it ) , my look would need to be based on elite female symmetry , I could never look , or want to look like guys , who generally just go far too big , so I prefer the look is No 1 , plus I just appreciate the skill and it gives me something to aim for ..
Zero problem with it.
Good god, Do you work out to work your muscles or to show your ass? 🤔😅😂
I thought it was a picture of J Lo's ass. 😯😅
@Viola_456 I like your ass 💕💯
It’s not going to bother me. I mean I will try to beat her at that time because I like competition. It’s the same w video games when I do play which is rarely, but I’ll try to get it as high as I can so no one can beat it. But if she out lifts me once we’re done we’re done I’m not going to let it bother me. I know what I’m capable of, where I’ve been, what I’ve done. That doesn’t matter to me in the end. Friendly competition.
What do you mean? To me it’s a friendly competition. So yes I’ll keep trying but it’s going to have no bearing on how I see myself or how others see me.
Oh I see. My mistake. No I meant if she outposts me, I’ll still try for sport, just to have fun. But once we’re done whether she says ok I’m out of she’s done lifting for the day that’s it, I’m good. It’s not going to bother me. I’m not saying I’m giving up the first time. I’ve spent too much time working in prisons, 10 years in the military, to care what people would think of me if I lost to her. I know some me would probably say dude you’re a wimp, you’re pathetic, etc. But I could just as easily call them the same for having never entered the military or worked in a prison. But no when it’s done ok I had fun.
Honestly you probably could out lift me in some things. I’ve had like 5 different surgeries while in the military. My right knee is shot to hell so my leg isn’t as strong as it would be if I hadn’t had surgery.
But yes I like some competition. But like I said before I know what I’ve done, where I’ve been, what I’ve seen. Takes more to be a man than to be just physically strong. Now I work in medical, you see a lot of things here too. I did Muay Thai for like 5 years, but w the knee it’s not good w all that kicking.
You just got to respect it. If you're offended by it then it's on you to get better.
It would maybe give me the kick up the backside to get myself to the gym and get myself into a physique I'm not insecure about
I can bench almost twice my weight so upper body would shock me. I suffered a compound fracture of my right tibia in my teens and that knee does not fully flex, so leg press or squat would not surprise me much. Either way I'd be impressed, as I tend to applaud the achievements of others.
I WOULD feel strange, as men are generally 40% stronger than women, but if, like 5'8",370-pound shot putter Holley Mangold, she's a huge broad, I'd think,"She IS about twice the size of most women, so I can't be too surprised about her awesome strength."
I would be impressed but think that she's on steroids.. My strength even for a man is a bit above average, at least upper body wise.. So if I see a woman match that I would think she was taking some enhancements..
I would not be intimidated, it is normal for a girl trained in strength disciplines to lift much more than me who is not fully trained, I would try to take her as an example to motivate me to lift more.
Would never happen. It's like asking how would I feel if a woman had testicles. I guess if you asked me this question when I was like 10 years-old I would be able to put myself into the required mindset to answer it from the POV of a kid.
I used to feel intimidated by that but i got used to it 😅 Im not going to the gym regularly and im just 110 pounds soo most girls that workout regularly are stronger than me... But even now i hate it when some girls go to the same machine after me and they have to put on double weight...
Honestly that situation is so rare that most gym bros don't think about it at all.
It's like asking, "How would you feel if you met a horse that did better on the SAT than you did?"
I'd ask her if she'd consider allowing me to become her submissive male servant, because there is nothing more exciting than being in a relationship with a woman who can easily beat that ass❤️
I don't lift, I climb, and there are many women far better than me. It doesn't matter at all.
I would absolutely love it just because it's a challenge it's fun and it's really not that big of a deal
Not with those calves.
As Dorian Yates would say, if you cut the weight in half and used better form, you might get better results.
If she was my workout partner and that's the view, I think I would be okay with her lifting more than me.😎👍
I think that I would feel bad, a man should be stronger than a woman, so it's a shame.
I wouldn't feel intimidated. I would actually feel impressed. I would aspire to catch up to her if anything.
Exactly. By aspiring to lift as much as her I would become much stronger myself.
Men who would be upset with that have fragile egos
Most of my previous girlfriends were fitter than me and two were even athletes. Doesn't change anything.
It would be great. We work under & train with female leadership at work. I have no reservations about it. It'll be cool.
I like your build. How much can you curl in a set of 25 reps, and how much can you bench press in a set of 25 reps?
Ever tried a strength calculator? ↗
Viola, ever try a strength calculator?
You're asking about a scenario that would never happen because I'd never set foot in a gym. Gymcels disgust me.
I feel bad! I hope I don't get punched by muscular women. I am very weak and I am not used to carrying heavy things. Well let's train all the women in gym and replace the hard jobs of men with women. Women work and men sit at home. LOL😂
It hasn't happened yet. If it was a training partner/female friend I'd be motivated. A girlfriend I'd feel like a weak little b---h.
I wouldn't have an issue with it, but I doubt she can lift heavier than me.
Unless it is an Olympic power lifter no woman is out lifting me just by nature of what I do when I am not organizing contracts for my labs
Fine with me guess she in charge of planning the work outs then
I am 100% ok with it. Let me know… I’ll work out with you any day!!
i would feel motivated, not concerned nor intimidated.
I am totally ok with this. Even if i see girls who stronger than me, i get determined and trying to be work harder. You can be my coach :D
Let her do the 'heavy lifting"? I would not date a body builder.
That photo looks like some serious girl power going on...😍 I'll be okay with it
I wouldn't have a problem with it. I'm really skinny anyway.
The thing is there will always be a girl stronger than you and if she has been training for longer than of course she will be stronger.
Not likely to happen since I've been lifting most of my life including competitive powerlifting. Haven't seen it yet. Maybe when I'm 95. 🙂
My life would be in ruins. I would quit gym altogether. Might as well start baking and outbake her to make her feel how I felt when she lifted more than me.
I'm fine with it. I'd rather have a workout friend regardless of the sex/gender. Even better if were in a relationship; it just gives me a goal to meet her on her level.
I used to so CrossFit which usually in groups, I had strong female classmates seeing them pushed me to do more but I wouldn't say intimidated. The only area I couldn't keep up with them is the squats 😂
Not sure. I'm 230lbs right now so that's a lot to press...
If she is stronger, she is strong. I compete with myself. So, there is nothing to be ashamed of. But, I like heavier girls as well. Melinda Lindmark is my favourite. She is such a cutie
I watch her videos every fucking day.
I've done this and not only an I ok with it, I'm proud of them and do everything in my power to build them up. Strong women are amazing!
It wouldn't bther me ne bit. I am not in competition with her but only with myself when it comes to weight training.
It would give me more incentive to work harder! I wouldn’t care if she could lift more than me.
I wouldn't care. As long as she doesn't look massively muscular or masculine then I don't care if she lifts more than me.
I would be okay with it... And especially when girls are good at lifting , guess what they are amazing in bed as well since their testosterone levels is higher and they enjoy sex more...
I would take inspiration from her and be proud to train with her. Even though my wife can’t lift heavier than me, she can totally out do me on the treadmill and elliptical.
Unlikely. But if so idc, I myself know that I’m strong and capable
well that just means she must have put in a lot more work than me. that's all.
Fine with me - I have some bushes in the back yard that need to be removed.
No different, I only look at my own performance. I'm there to train after all.
I wouldn't be worried, I can lift much between my back and my heart, maybe 20-30kg
