Do you think this person is dangerous?

I'm only asking this because I kind of like this person but he seems to be on drugs or is mentally unstable. He first spoke to me about a year ago when I was sitting outside of a mall near my apartment. He was nice but I noticed that he would sneer and growl at people as they are nearby. In a way I think it's so they don't come close. I asked if he did drugs, because he appeared to be on drugs or had mental illness. He said no he doesn't touch that kind of stuff. We exchanged number because I usually just give people my number, so we could perhaps be friends or something more and I could always block them if I don't like them. And I thought he was quite handsome. We would occasionally see eachother and he'd come up to say hi. A year later. Recently, I was waiting at a bus stop and he just stopped there and stared at me until I got on the bus. Other time I saw him at the mall, I was sitting there, he swung his bag aggressively near me, and I got up mad and walked away. Another night, I got off the bus and saw him trailing behind a girl and when he saw me, turned around and followed me to mcdonalds. I knew because I got out from the washroom, he was looking right at me and went to sit down. I saw him outside of the mall once and he started shouting something at me really loudly, the girl infront of me was scared also. I don't know what he said. He saw me leaving my apartment once and a few days later he was waiting outside the apartment. I'm wondering why he doesn't talk to me anymore, instead acts it a weird and threatening manner. A year ago, I wore a mask but now I don't anymore, do you think it's because he is confused and sort of recognizes me but not quite?
