Hello! I have a guy in my life who is quite a bit older than me and we aren’t dating, but there seems to be a really pleasant deep connection between us. This man is a speaker and very talented at it. He calls me pet names and I’ve only seen him do that with kids other than me. He’s always finding ways to pass close to me, stand near me, and look my way from across the room constantly. He notices pretty quickly when I walk in the same room/area. Sometimes it’s short glances, other times, they’re long glances and his eyes always seem to be happy and sparkle when we make eye contact. He doesn’t always smile but when he does, it’s toothy and beaming and usually when we are talking. He can always single me out in a crowd and makes contact including big smiles while he is speaking to me. This last week, he flashed me a big smile and sparkling eyes during his speech and he was referencing a topic he and I had recently discussed as if he remembered. His eye contact is very strong and intense, he’s very engaged with me with no distractions and no breaks when we’re personally talking most of the time. He also gives me shoulder touches, held my hands once, and his hugs linger a little. Just seems like most of these interactions or things he only does with me or does them differently with me. Trying to be specific and give a good description. Thoughts?

He likes you but knows you wanted to be friends to break the ice first naturally like a man you are attracted to him so somehow he wants to get closer to you but is actually waiting for your decision expecting you to respond.
I had a chance like this I had a younger girl going through divorce and said she wanted to be friends but I didn’t like she would only want to drink when I like to drink less.
I told her she was cute and she admitted she liked my dimples I gave her a kiss on her neck slightly and a hug and gave her a perfume accepted her as a friend. But somehow I think I went off with the messages I wanted to give her a dress was not expecting to sleep with her but maybe get closer but she stopped answering my calls and I’m busy on something else so I decided to fuck of for a minute

Are you really in your 30s? I ask because this story sounds more like a 16 year old girl in an Evangelical church be groomed by a youth pastor. Now if you really are in your 30s, just ask the man. If you're a teenager trying to act grown up, STOP IT! This guy is a predator and this will end badly for you.

He’s in his early 40s and he is with someone else, hence any hesitance or hints I’ve expressed at keeping some distance. I met him at a church adult group.

No I’m not ignoring that. I haven’t made any moves nor asked him anything that would be inappropriate since he’s dating someone else.

You shouldn’t be on this platform if you aren’t going to actually try to answer and help people. We aren’t going to ever go any further than what we have in our relationship now and I’m fine with that. I was just curious because people could be dating or married and still have some attraction for another/others. It’s normal as long as it isn’t acted on or become a fantasy/obsession.
