Why would a guy invite you to see him then block you?

My longtime guy friend invited me to come out and see him more then after we were texting he blocked me?

There isn't much context to this other than you were texting and then he blocked you. What happened during the texting. I am guessing something in there is going to tell you why. Go back through the text conversation and really look at everything up until the point where he blocked you. My guess is there is something in there. All I can do is guess because it could be a hundred different things that caused him to block you. Maybe he met some girl just before you were going to see him and thought it wouldn't be appropriate to then invite you to see him with a new girlfriend. That is just an example. I can think of tons more. The point is that only he knows and the only thing you can do is look for clues.

I have no idea honey. I’m going through a bit of a different dilemma with a man as well.
We love them, and hate them. Ridiculous guys. I wonder how their mind works
