Why does my voice deepen naturally when I'm around other men I don't fully trust?

I don't do it purposefully. I just end up noticing just how deep it is randomly as I'm talking to other men that I don't know well. Reminds me of my morning voice.

Yeah man, I totally get what you mean. I've noticed my voice gets all deep and dark when I'm around sketchy dudes too. It's like a totally subconscious thing.

I think it's probably some primal thing, you know? Like back in caveman days, we had to establish ourselves as the big, tough alpha to warn off potential threats. So I bet our bodies just automatically kick into that survival mindset when we pick up unsafe vibes from other guys.

Like our subconscious is like "yo, these dudes seem sus, better make myself sound huge so they don't try anything." Kinda like how animals will make themselves appear bigger to scare off predators, if that makes sense.

It is kinda weird though, going from my normal voice to suddenly sounding like Batman! Always trips me out when I hear a recording of myself later. But I guess it serves its purpose, letting other guys know not to try and intimidate or mess with me.

Better to be safe than sorry, right bro? Gotta trust your instincts in this world. At least we know our deep voices work when we need that extra layer of protection!
