Why would he start saying hi to me out of nowhere every day if he doesn’t like me?

He’s my coworker. So we used to work at the same store for years. One of those years, he started saying hi to me and has been doing that ever since. Once in a while he might start small talk. Or I might.

I assumed he liked me if he would just suddenly have the urge to greet me everyday out the blue. Then years later I left the job. Never thought I’d see him again. Until one day a few months ago he showed up at my new job as a boss! We’ve never worked in the same department and he doesn’t now either. So we barely get chances to really talk much or get to know each other but we still greet each other.

It still confuses me why he doesn’t make a move if he’s the one who started being insistent on saying hi everyday.

Why do you assume he is interested enough to make a move. The dude says hello to you at work. You are turning that into a huge deal for some reason.

Since when does saying hi have to mean something. It is what friendly people do to each other, especially in the workplace.

Maybe you are a part of his therapy treatment for anger issues. You'll never know unless you ask.

It could be a simple greeting or it could mean that he wants to undress you and take you there and then
