Why would a guy ignore text during an argument?

Everytime me and a guy that I’m seeing gets into it he always ignore my texts during an argument or disagreement when I’m telling him how I feel. He never argues with me. Does that mean he doesn’t care or is an avoidant?

So he won't say something he might regret. Not all people disagree the same way. Text is not the best form of communication, and the least favorable for arguments. It's easiest to ignore when you need space.
