Does ignoring a guy's texts work?

If you've been texting a guy and then just all of a sudden you ignore his messages would it make him wanna talk to you more or would he not care and do nothing about it

How would you react if someone did this to you? You'd probably become insecure and think he doesn't like you anymore, maybe you'd even back off and stop texting him too.
Don't play with people like this. It's very childish and manipulative. If you like someone, show it to them by talking with them, flirting with them and making an effort to get to know them. Don't do the opposite, or else they'll just think you're not interested. It will have the opposite effect on most people. And the ones that do start to chase you harder, well, then it's clear they're just in it for the chase and not because they actually find you as a person interesting.

Some guys would just move on. I've had guys who STILL continue to text me after I ignore their text msgs. I don't do it for attention though. I do it after telling them the same thing over & over to no avail. Anyways if u wanna do it because u want him to chase you, DONT. It's rude & it will just backfire. If you want to do it because you don't want to be with him anymore then explain it to him first and if he does not get it then fuck it I say ignore his text msgs.

What if it does not happen really that way? For example that you ignore the guy and does not text him anymore beaue you believe he does not care for you anymore and he is not expecting you to text him anyway, so he won't do anything about it, so you stop texting him. How can you know if by ignoring it means he is waiting for y ou to text again so he is not texting u until u text him?

If it was mid-convo I'd be concerned lol.
If it's like my crush did, and tended to rarely ever text me first for the time I've known her, but then she texts me first briefly out of nowhere, then just ends it... I'd be curious.

Either way, if he likes you, he's always gonna be curious, so don't be a text-ignoring asshole.

ignoring a guys texts on purpose is just mean. I've stopped talking to some girls because of it. they text regularly sometimes super quick then after a question or two they don't answer for a day, then talk as if nothing happened. frankly I just have stopped trying with people that blatantly ignore me like that.

If I send a message that doesn't require a response I will send another message but if you don't reply to that then I would assume you don't want to talk to me and never message you again.

It works for guys who only text, or show interest for one person at a time. Doesn't work for guys who are texting and showing interest to multiple girls at a time.
