Why didn’t he try?

Long story short, my ex said that he really liked me, but I was just too far for him. We do stay pretty far, but I’ve seen him compromise when he came to his business. Once I seen him drive from his state past mine to another, just to make sure he handled his business & then stayed 2 weeks there. But I’m too far? was this an excuse? do men figure it out for whom they really like?

I know this is supposed to be about him, but what exactly did you do to try to maintain this relationship? He’s probably not going to try really if there’s nothing reciprocated on your end. Not worth it. This isn’t a one way street.

i visited once but he said visiting is too temporary

Ok. But you’re saying he didn’t even try. Which to me sounds like you did, or didn’t do the same thing as you said about him. So he said don’t visit anymore?

Did you also make an effort and drive to where he is, or was the expectations all one sided and put on him only?

i made an effort to see him but he said it wasn’t enough , seeing each other was temporary

Long distance only works temporarily. One person has to be able to move in order to be together long term. Also, if someone has a business job that requires long distance travel, they likely won't be a good partner because they will have to spend too much time away. Imaging living together with someone that is gone for weeks at a time.
