1.7K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. Because you don’t want to be pointed out as a sex object, you want someone to like you for you , mainly from the heart , it makes you angry because you feel like you are just an object to them , Were you molested or neglected as a child? I am not being rude whatsoever, a lot of our feelings stems down from being a kid , and what we experienced and witnessed growing up , most of us don’t realize the impact it does to us. I was molested by an older woman when I was a child and honestly I didn’t think it affected me , but apparently it did. So if you have insecurities or low self esteem about yourself , and feel you aren’t that attractive, that can cause you to be angry at someone checking you out , Learning to accept yourself for who you are is hard for a lot of people to do. I use to be shy when I was younger and once I broke free of that shyness I was able to feel more confident in myself , and not be my own worst enemy , sadly I am still my own worst enemy at times but I am better than how I use to be. When I was shy and girls’ would check me out , I would get so mad at them for checking me out , because I didn’t feel comfortable within myself and felt like they were blind , like what the fuck are they even looking at me for. I would get angry and walk away as fast as I could , away from them. It was hard for me to feel comfortable around girls’ after being molested , even though I love girls’ I had this wall up protecting myself. Through most of my teenage years , I would not accept a girl that wasn’t confident in herself , if her friend walked up to me and said my friend likes you and wants to talk to you? I would say sorry I have no interest, I was more interested on the girl that approached me first , so I eventually realized I was being an asshole , My very first actual girlfriend approached me first and hit on me , I was able to accept her because of her confidence. Sadly I am still kind of that way , unless I am head over heels for a girl and I make the first move on her. But I prefer a girl making the first move on me. I feel if she makes the first move , it’s easier for me to take those walls down that are protecting myself. If a girl proves to me she only has eyes for me , I am more turned on by that. I love girls’ that are confident and honest with me

Anonymous(25-29)+1 yyou’re insecure and think that anyone doing that must be low value and couldn’t possibly be worth your time so you hate them because you oddly see yourself in them even though the other part of you tells yourself your so much better than they are.
The violence speaks to the harsh emotions you don’t want to face, the choice of the eyes underlines your superiority complex where some part of you believes or longs to believe that you’re worthy of taking something away from them because you project your feeling of inferiority onto them and then fantasize about them living out the powerlessness you fear.

+1 yI don't know. It is complementary in a weird way but if he's leering and ogling end generally creepy, then I totally support your gouging his eyes out! If he does it with tact and discretion you wouldn't even know about it.

@Juxtapose it is acutally a form harassment If someone stares tooo long at you. It can be seen as a threat/stalker activity
- +1 y
@Juxtapose it depends where at like I live on a military base. It's considered sexual harassment. A solider can get kicked out for staring at women in a sexual way or just staring too long in general, walking behind a woman too long. Work and regular life is mixed here tho
- +1 y
@Juxtapose regardless if it's legal or not. Why would a guy want to be seen as a staring creeper? It's better just to not be creepy when out and about
- +1 y
I want people to know very clearly that there is no expectation of privacy out in public. You can even look through bank windows and see people's account information or look through the window of a police cruiser and look at their computer and that is perfectly legal. It is up to them to create their own privacy. You cannot trespass somebody's eyes.
- +1 y
@Juxtapose being legal or not doesn't take away it being creepy. I've had to speak up to quite a few people recently that were staring at my baby bump. To me it's a threat considering how high of a chance it is to be murdered while pregnant
