Does the way a guy hugs you in a photo mean anything?

So my friend thinks the way a guy hugs you in a photo means something, but I don’t. Do you think it means something or no?

To answer the question, I'll tell you a story...

I have one photo from my school days with my first love looking at me because I was giggling when the pic was taken. Everyone who's ever seen the pic presumed we were boyfriend/girlfriend, but we weren't. I was too young to date (according to my folks), but he watched out for me the entire time we were in school and for a few years after that, even though we lived in different states/countries... It came out only a couple of years ago why he'd held back once we were old enough... and so I learned that the love everyone saw in that pic was actually a real thing and not just what they wanted to see and tease me about.

Gotcha. So let’s say a guy asks to take a photo with me and after I say yes, the guy is side hugging me, arm wrapped around my shoulders and my arm is wrapped around him (sorta). He’s smiling and throwing up the sideways peace sign. Does that just mean he’s being friendly?

I wouldn't say he's showing any type of interest yet, that's a very friendly type of action, but not much of a sign of him being interested.
