Do some men just have a flirty personality?

There's a guy at my work who I have to work very close with on a daily basis and he's very friendly and touchy, feely not just with me but others.

He's always calling me darling, sweetheart etc and hugging me. He'll always find excuses to touch me like when we're talking he'll put his arm around me. Sometimes he finds it funny to put his cold hands on me as we work in a chilled warehouse to make me jump.

He's very good looking but not my type ans I'm a married woman with no intention of going there.

It doesn't bother me and it's kinda nice to have a male coworker be friendly and affectionate towards women instead of rude and abrupt as many of the other female colleagues have said about him too.

It's just I don't want to give mixed messages to him or other work colleagues as the rumour mill is crazy at my work.

We are going on a training course for 3 days together next month and I won't really have anyone else to talk to. He recently broken up with his long term girlfriend and his life has done a total 180, I think he's very lonely now and starved of affection as to why he is the way he is with woman.

We are staying in a hotel together during a training course obviously separate rooms but It's kinda awkward especially when I'm gonna be the only women meaning it's gonna be mainly me who gets his non stop attention. I think he respects I'm a married woman but it doesn't always stop people does it. If he tries anything I'm more than likely will lock myself in my room 🤣

Yes not just guys but some people in general have flirty personalities. He sounds hella weird tho. Unless he’s gay, I don’t know any straight guy that calls people sweetheart and darling while being super touchy. That’s too much even for a flirty personality. Honestly sounds like you should set up a firm boundary with him about respecting ur space and pet names. Whether or not he does this with other female coworkers too, if rumors are a genuine concern of yours, you should set straight boundaries especially since ur joking about him possibly making a move on you.

He sounds like he bats for the other team. But yes there are men who have attitudes, personalities like that. I would really like to know what women consider flirting. Because honestly a lot of what you just said other than the pet names, hugs, I do the same. But that’s cause I’m always happy. I talk to a lot of the women. Some way more than others because they have a good personality. I get along w them. A lot of men won’t do that these days out of fear of being called in HR. I’ll laugh, smile, tell them personal things. But to me that’s not flirting, I’m just being nice, myself. Enjoying the company of a female that I can joke w and not be concerned about some sort of accusation. I do think women tend to think of a man talks to a girl a lot, laughs w her, jokes w her, he’s flirting w her. Not always the case.
